Rite of Passage

There is a shedding that happens when one loses their mother. I say mother because for me it's the one parent I had. She was mother and father to me.
All the things you knew as a child, that you carried over into your adulthood are re-examined in a new way. The one person that unintentionally anchored those things in you whatever they may be, fears, religious guilt or superstitions is gone. So you say now what? You begin to step out into life on your own.
No fears.
No guilt.
No superstition.
